SHELF LIFE: Pure 100% organic Tamanu Oil has a shelf life of at least 3 years and as high as 5 years or more. It prefers to be stored at room temperature or even a bit hotter but avoid very high temperatures as this may reduce the shelf life of the oil. 100% Tamanu Oil should have a dark green color which may vary slightly depending on the variety. However, be wary of very yellowish-colored oil as this usually means it has been tampered with either through mixing with other oils or due to some type of refining process. Tamanu Oil has a tendency to separate if temperatures get too cold. This is the fatty acid content and the separation causes the oil to thicken and turn a milky color .  Should this occur we suggest you give it a good shake and then place it in the sun or in some hot water. 

As mentioned above, Tamanu Oil DOES NOT need to be diluted with Olive Oil or any other oil. Don’t be fooled by companies who sell you Tamanu Oil (at Tamanu Oil prices) but where it’s really 50% Tamanu Oil and 50% Olive Oil! Pure or light olive oil is likely to be chemically processed whereas Tamanu Oil is “naturally derived”, so why chance contaminating it with some inferior oil?

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, you can return any items that do not meet your expectations, are broken, damaged, or are the wrong item, by notifying us within 10 days of delivery and returning the item(s) to us, for a refund of the product price or replacement. 

In the event that an order arrives damaged or is lost in the mail, Volcanic Earth will send a replacement at its own cost, including shipping costs. 

Volcanic Earth is under no obligation to accept return of goods that have been ordered in error or are no longer required by the Customer. As a general rule, no refunds or return of goods will be entertained by Volcanic Earth in such circumstances. In any event, any return of goods must first be authorized by Volcanic Earth who may, at its discretion, issue a Returns Authorization Number. 

Any goods returned without this number will not be accepted. Unless agreed otherwise, in writing, it shall be the responsibility of the Customer to deliver returned goods to the Company and cover risk during delivery. This is subject to the further conditions set out below.
